The Fuji Cutlery MV Color Petty Utility Knife belongs to a long running series built for professional food service kitchens, such as school meal centers, bento production facilities, and fried food specialty shops. The handle comes in a choice of colors, so a kitchen can assign a different color to each ingredient type and keep tools organized by use.
The blade and handle are joined by insert molding, a process that fuses the metal and resin into one piece instead of using rivets. This leaves no gap where water can collect, making the knife easier to keep clean under repeated daily use.
The blade is made from Japanese molybdenum vanadium steel, chosen for its resistance to rust and chipping and for holding its edge through heavy use. The knife is made in Japan.
