This Adelia Retro mini bonbon jar, in the Hanamawashi (flower swirl) pattern, is a remake of glassware originally used in Showa-era Japanese households, updated for safe everyday use today.
In Japan, bonbon refers to bite-size candies, and small glass jars like this one were commonly kept on the table to store candies and other small items.
The jar is made of glass and measures about 9.5 x 9.1 x 6.5 cm (3.7 x 3.6 x 2.6 in), with a capacity of 375 ml (12.7 fl oz). Made in Japan.
