Akebono Clear Kyusu Teapot with Polyester Mesh TW-3770

This clear teapot is a side-handle kyusu style, shaped to be easy to hold and pour. It is made of lightweight, shatterproof copolyester resin (saturated polyester) that is transparent like glass, so you can see how well the tea has brewed, and the spout pours cleanly without dripping.

The strainer is a sturdy polyester mesh held in a polypropylene frame. It will not warp out of shape, and its fine mesh resists clogging from small tea leaf particles.

Akebono Sangyo, based in Tsubame, Niigata Prefecture, plans and manufactures plastic kitchenware, including popular microwave cooking tools, with a focus on in-house quality and safety control.

This size measures 17 x 7.8 x 1.1 cm (6.7 x 3.1 x 0.4 in), weighs 121 g (4.3 oz / 0.27 lb), and holds up to 260 ml (8.8 fl oz); the same design is also offered in a 480 ml (16.2 fl oz) size.
