This strainer container lets you make thick, Greek style yogurt at home. A lid, a strainer basket fitted with a fine 18-8 stainless steel mesh (60 mesh), and a clear container work together to drain the whey from regular yogurt.
Because the mesh is metal rather than paper, there is no filter to buy or throw away after each batch. The clear container lets you see how much whey has drained off.
Use the strained yogurt in cooking and baking, and the drained whey can go into your own recipes too.
Made in Japan by Akebono Sangyo of Tsubame, Niigata, a maker known for practical plastic kitchenware that solves everyday kitchen problems. Choose from two sizes, Regular and Large.
