Akebono Gyutto Pon Heart Rice Ball Mold WE-403

This heart-shaped mold makes it quick and easy to form a cute rice ball: simply press rice firmly into the mold, then pop it out. A double embossed surface helps keep rice from sticking to the mold as you shape it.

It is made by Akebono Sangyo, a kitchenware maker based in Tsubame, Niigata, that designs plastic kitchen tools to solve small everyday cooking frustrations and is especially known for its microwave cookware, backed by its own in-house manufacturing.

The mold is made of polypropylene, heat resistant to 120 degrees Celsius and cold resistant to -20 degrees Celsius. It measures about 9.8 x 7.6 x 4.7 cm (3.9 x 3 x 1.9 in) and weighs about 38 g (1.3 oz / 0.08 lb). Made in Japan.
