Akebono Imono resin cutlery brings the look and presence of cast metal to the table without the weight or cold touch of real metal. Each piece is made in Japan by Akebono Sangyo, a plastics manufacturer that chose heat resistant PPS resin for its metal-like hardness. The material feels warm and gentle in the hand rather than cold like steel.

Akebono Sangyo makes its own forming dies in-house and finishes every piece by hand. This gives each item a light, refined silhouette with soft curves and no sharp corners from any angle.

The resin is rated for use from -20°C (-4°F) up to 260°C (500°F), so each piece holds up well to hot food and everyday kitchen use.
