This rice paddle has a spoon-shaped scooping end that lifts rice gently and keeps it light and fluffy. It also works well for serving risotto or rice porridge.
The scooping surface uses a double-emboss texture, large ridges topped with finer ridges, which reduces contact with the rice and keeps it from sticking.
A small ridge on the back lifts the paddle off the table when it is set down, so the scooping end stays clean. This paddle is about 19 cm (7.5 in) long and weighs about 18 g (0.6 oz). It is dishwasher safe and made in Japan.
