Akebono Rice Cooling Tray Red CH-2135

This rice cooling tray is a simple, everyday kitchen tool made for cooling rice before packing it into a bento box, which helps the rice stay at its best even on a busy morning.

A special mesh surface keeps the rice from sticking while letting steam escape from both above and below for efficient cooling, and raised legs help the steam escape even faster. The rim has a double emboss finish so rice does not stick to the edge. Cooling the rice this way is a traditional step before packing a bento, so the rice tastes better once cooled, and it also works well for making onigiri.
