These chopsticks are neither round nor square. The tip has a five sided star shape that grips food firmly, while the handle has ten sides, formed by flattening the edges of a five sided shape, so it sits naturally in the hand and feels stable in use.
The faceted shape also keeps the chopsticks from rolling when placed on the table. Each pair is made of heat and cold resistant polystyrene (SPS), is dishwasher safe, and is made in Japan.
An extra thick version is also available. It is noticeably thicker than the standard version, so it can be held almost like a disposable chopstick, while keeping the same grip friendly tip and handle shape.
