Akebono Sangyo Cat Rice Paddle

This rice paddle from Akebono Sangyo is shaped like a cute cat's paw, adding a playful touch to serving rice at home. It is made in Japan.

The scooping surface has the maker's original double embossed finish. Fine bumps sit on top of larger bumps, reducing contact with the rice so it does not stick, which makes scooping and serving easy.

The paddle is made of polypropylene and is dishwasher safe for simple cleanup. It is produced by Akebono Sangyo, a manufacturer in Tsubame, Niigata, Japan, that plans and makes plastic kitchen goods. The company is known for unique, convenient ideas that solve small everyday problems, and handles production in house with close attention to quality and safety.

This rice paddle is available in two colors: white and pink.
