This rice paddle (shamoji) from Akebono Sangyo is used for serving and mixing cooked rice without it sticking to the blade. It is molded in polypropylene with a double embossed (W emboss) textured surface that helps rice release cleanly, and it is heat resistant up to 120°C (248°F).
Avoid using the paddle as a lever, since this can cause it to crack or break, and keep it away from open flame or direct heat, as this may cause it to warp.
This paddle is made in Japan and is offered in several lengths, from 16 cm to 60 cm, in natural or black.
