Akebono Sangyo Okechau Standing Rice Paddle

The Okechau Standing Rice Paddle from Akebono Sangyo has a double embossed surface on the scoop that helps keep rice from sticking. A pattern of large bumps topped with finer micro bumps reduces the contact area between the paddle and the rice, so grains release more easily.

A raised rib on the back of the paddle lets it stand up off the table or counter when set down, keeping the scoop surface off the surface it rests on for better hygiene.

The paddle is dishwasher and dish dryer safe and made in Japan. It is available in black and white.
