This nori shredder turns sheets of seaweed into fine shredded nori in moments. Set a sheet in place and turn the handle, and it is handy for topping rice bowls, noodles, and salads.
The cutting parts are plastic rather than metal, so there is no worry about cutting your hands, and it is safe for children to help operate. It accepts up to a half sheet of nori at a time, so feed one sheet at a time for the best results. After use, it comes apart easily so every part can be washed.
Made in Japan by Akebono Sangyo of Tsubame, Niigata, a maker of plastic kitchen tools known for solving small everyday kitchen inconveniences.
Choose the version without a container, or the version that includes an attached container to catch the shredded nori as it cuts.
