Akebono Shiboritate Cutter

The Shiboritate Cutter from Akebono Sangyo is a kitchen cutter built around a rotating stainless steel blade, housed in a polypropylene body. The body is rated to withstand heat up to 140°C and cold down to -20°C, while the separate blade rotation part is made of polyacetal, rated to 120°C heat resistance and -20°C cold resistance.

Akebono Sangyo, based in Tsubame, Niigata, designs and manufactures plastic kitchenware aimed at solving small everyday inconveniences, and is especially known for its microwave cookware. The company handles design and manufacturing in house, with a focus on quality and safety.
