Akebono Swing Rice Paddle Standing Shamoji Green PM-912

This rice paddle (shamoji) from Akebono Sangyo is designed to stand up on its own when set down, thanks to a weighted base cap, so it will not tip over and leave rice or liquid on the counter. Its double-embossed surface helps keep cooked rice from sticking to the paddle.

The body and base cap are made of polypropylene, which is heat resistant up to 120 degrees Celsius and cold resistant down to minus 20 degrees Celsius, with a stainless steel weight built into the base. This model is green and measures 21 x 8 x 4 cm (8.3 x 3.1 x 1.6 in), weighing 110 g (3.9 oz).
