This boiled egg mold shapes the yolk into a decorative pattern. The egg white sets first around the mold, then the yolk is poured in afterward so it sets into one of four shapes: heart, diamond, flower, or star. Because the egg sets in a cylindrical shape, the same pattern shows up no matter where you slice it, which makes a bento box, salad, or any plated dish look a bit more festive.
