This teardrop-shaped cutting board uses its curved outline to give you a cutting area on one side and room to push prepped food aside on the other, so a second board is not needed mid-recipe. It measures about 28.5 x 28.5 x 1 cm (11.2 x 11.2 x 0.4 in) and weighs about 250 g (8.8 oz). A sponge-like air-cell structure inside keeps the board light and slightly flexible, which is gentler on a knife edge for a smoother cut.
The straight front edge lets the board sit neatly on a counter without rolling, and it can also be leaned upright for storage. Right-handed cooks can keep the cutting space on the left; rotating the board 90 degrees moves it to the right for left-handed use. Both sides can be used, so meat and vegetables can be kept separate. The edges have a slip-resistant material that helps keep the board in place and blocks liquid from running off the sides. The board is heat resistant up to 100°C (212°F) and safe for home dishwashers.
