Benkei 18-8 Stainless Steel Shallow Colander 37.5cm HF-9

This Benkei shallow colander is made by Honma Fuyuji Kogyo, a metal housewares maker in the Tsubame area of Niigata that focuses on commercial kitchen tools built for long use. It is a versatile colander for washing rice, draining vegetables and more.

The thick stainless steel rim holds the mesh firmly so it does not pull loose, and the frame is strengthened by spinning for long service. Flat reinforcing wires are designed not to dig into your hands. The mesh is 0.5 x 11 mesh with openings of 1.81 mm (0.1 in).

Made of 18-8 stainless steel (18% chromium, 8% nickel), it resists rust, stays clean and can take boiling water. It has an inner diameter of 375 mm (14.8 in) and a height of 170 mm (6.7 in). Made in Japan.
