These CAFEC cone coffee filters are made by Sanyo Sangyo from virgin pulp blended with abaca (Manila hemp) fiber, with seams pressed together without adhesive. They are designed for cone shaped drippers only and will not fit wedge shaped drippers.

The maker's own papermaking process gives the paper a crepe texture on both sides. The ridges create a small air gap between the filter and the dripper, allowing a smooth, even flow and a clear cup with no cloudiness.

Abaca fiber is fine, flexible, and strong, so water passes through easily. It also absorbs carbon dioxide well, is highly biodegradable, and releases no harmful substances when burned. The filters are made in Japan.
