The Flower Dripper Oval is a pour over coffee dripper from CAFEC that combines the brand's flower shaped ribs with a fan shaped cone body. It is the final addition to the Flower Dripper series.
The flower ribs along the dripper wall hold the paper filter away from the wall so the coffee grounds can expand fully and hot water can pass through the whole bed evenly. Straight ribs near the base guide the brewed coffee toward the extraction hole or holes and help prevent over extraction at the bottom of the cone.
Viewed from above, the dripper has a slightly oval shape, chosen to keep the pour angle narrow for a deep filter bed while still fitting snugly with CAFEC paper filters. It is made of copolyester resin that is heat resistant to 100°C (212°F) and cold resistant to -20°C (-4°F).
Made by Sanyo Sangyo under the CAFEC brand, which supplies coffee brewing equipment in Japan and in more than 80 countries. This dripper is offered in two sizes (1 to 2 cups and 2 to 4 cups) and two colors (Clear and Clear Black). Made in Japan.
