This CAFEC starter kit lets you brew pour over coffee at home from the first day. It comes with a dripper, a server, and a set of paper filters, so there is nothing else to buy to get started.
The flower dripper is a cone with petal-shaped ribs carved into its wall. The ribs let the grounds bloom fully, and the water flows through smoothly without pooling, while the cone shape builds a deep bed of grounds for longer contact with the water and fuller flavor. The dripper and the beaker server are both made of copolyester resin, which resists breaking if dropped.
The server has an easy-grip handle and a spout shaped to prevent drips, and its cylindrical form keeps the scale easy to read even with small amounts. The included Abaca Plus cone filters contain abaca (Manila hemp) fiber, giving a fine, even crepe texture for a smooth extraction speed.
This starter kit is made in Japan by Sanyo Sangyo and is offered in two sizes: one for brewing a single cup, and one for brewing 2 to 4 cups at a time.
