Hakusan Porcelain Hasami Basic 4-Sun Rice Bowl Tenmoku Black

This rice bowl belongs to Hakusan Porcelain's Basic series, a long-running Hasami ware design that has been produced since the 1970s. The Basic series rice bowl is offered in black (tenmoku) and white matte, and this is the black tenmoku version in the 4-sun, about 12 cm (4.7 in), size.

The outside is finished in a traditional tenmoku glaze with a darker accent along the rim, while the inside is glazed in white porcelain, giving the bowl a contrast between the two finishes. This size suits everyday rice bowl use and pairs well with the white matte version from the same series.
