Hakusan Porcelain Hasami Tomoe Small Shallow Bowl Blue-White Glaze

This bowl is part of the Tomoe series from Hakusan Porcelain, a Hasami ware maker, finished in a blue-white (seihaku) glaze, and was recognized with a Good Design Award in 2000. It is one of five sizes offered in the series. The shape is formed from two gently overlapping circles, giving it a smooth, soft outline, and it has enough depth to suit a variety of dishes.

Because the rim is shallow, it can be used as either a small plate or a small bowl. It works well for dessert, sweets, or as a small side dish.
