Hitoe is a chopstick rest from Hakusan Porcelain, part of a Hasami-yaki series made in Hasami, Nagasaki, Japan. The design is based on the look of a piece of cloth wrapped once around itself, finished with a delicate glaze for a modern take on a traditional shape.
The curved section is easy to hold, and the shape gives chopsticks a stable resting point. The compact size also makes it easy to store with the rest of your tableware.
This piece has a yellow glaze finish and measures 5.5 cm (2.2 in) across with a height of 1.5 cm (0.6 in), weighing 30 g (1.1 oz / 0.07 lb). It works well for everyday use and also makes a suitable gift.
