Hakusan Porcelain Hemp Thread Teapot Indigo

This teapot is part of Hakusan Porcelain's Hemp Thread series, made in Japan. The series features finely engraved lines and hand dyed colors with a delicate shade reminiscent of hemp thread, set against white porcelain. The series comes in two sizes, and this is the smaller of the two.

The teapot holds about 400 ml (13.5 fl oz) and has a sturdy, stable shape. The handle is large enough to hold with three fingers, and the teapot weighs 450 g (15.9 oz), lighter than it looks.

The lid has a knob, and positioning it toward the front makes the lid easy to hold in place when pouring, which is helpful for anyone with smaller hands. The lid can also rest on a catch built into the body instead of being set directly on the table. Measuring 10 x 10 x 9 cm (3.9 x 3.9 x 3.5 in), this teapot is offered in indigo.
