The Petra series from Hakusan Porcelain takes its design from the look of natural stone, so each plate shows a slightly different texture depending on the direction it is placed or the angle it is viewed from. The series won a 2020 Good Design Award and is made in the Hasami ware tradition of Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan.
This Size L plate has a flat surface with plenty of room, making it well suited to one-plate meals and useful across a variety of everyday dining situations. Its flat design also means several plates can be stacked without taking up much height, so they are easy to store.
This plate measures about 24.5 x 21 cm (9.6 x 8.3 in) and weighs about 520 g (18.3 oz), and is finished in a light gray.
