This rectangular plate from Hakusan Porcelain is the largest of three sizes in the series. Its simple square shape has a gentle curve added at the edges, which highlights the arrangement of food, and a delicate relief inspired by leaf veins gives it a subtle accent.
Made in Japan, it measures 25 x 18.5 cm (9.8 x 7.3 in) and weighs 650 g (22.9 oz / 1.43 lb). The larger size suits sashimi or sushi for about two to three people, and it also works well for skewered dishes or tempura.
While it has a Japanese feel, the plate suits many other styles of food as well. The smaller size in the same series can be used alongside it as an individual side plate.
