This rectangular plate from Hakusan Porcelain is the middle size of three in the series. Its simple square shape has a gentle curve added at the edges, which highlights the arrangement of food, and a delicate relief inspired by leaf veins gives it a subtle accent.
Made in Japan, it measures 20 x 15.5 cm (7.9 x 6.1 in) and weighs 390 g (13.8 oz / 0.86 lb). This size suits sashimi or sushi for about one to two people, and it also works well for skewered dishes or tempura.
While it has a Japanese feel, the plate suits many other styles of food as well. The smaller size in the same series can be used alongside it as an individual side plate.
