This Hario teapot is made of heat-resistant glass that does not easily pick up color or smell from what you brew, so it can be used for Japanese tea, Chinese tea, black tea, or herbal tea. Because the body and lid are both clear glass, you can watch the color of the tea develop as it steeps.
It comes with a large tea strainer that gives the leaves room to open up. Take the strainer out and the pot can also go in the microwave to reheat your tea. The lid has a rounded knob that is easy to hold.
It holds 450 ml (15.2 fl oz) and measures 15.5 x 11.8 x 9.5 cm (6.1 x 4.6 x 3.7 in). Made in Japan.
