This sushi rolling mat (makisu) from Hasegawa is made with polypropylene slats strung together with a single PET resin thread. Because the slats are joined by one filament with no knots, water drains off easily after rinsing, making the mat simple to clean between uses.
The mat is heat resistant up to 120°C (248°F) and can be rinsed in hot water after use. Keep it away from direct heat or an open flame, and avoid cleaning it with a metal scouring pad or brush, since either can deform the slats or break the threads.
This mat is offered in three sizes (Small, Medium, and Large) and three colors (Green, Blue, and Beige), so you can choose the combination that suits your rolling needs. Made in Japan.
