The Cast Varius set from Hokuriku Aluminum is a detachable-handle frying pan set with a cast aluminum alloy body. The handle locks onto the pan with a stable three-point structure made possible by the composite cast-aluminum construction, said to be the first of its kind made in Japan.
The interior has a non-stick coating blended with spherical ceramic particles, which helps resist surface wear and keeps the non-stick surface working longer.
The set includes a 20 cm (7.87 in) frying pan with a base about 3.7 mm (0.1 in) thick and a height of about 58 mm (2.3 in), a 26 cm (10.24 in) frying pan with the same base thickness and a height of about 64 mm (2.5 in), and one detachable handle that fits both pans.
It is compatible with induction (IH) cooktops.
