This colander comes from the Benkei line by Honma Fuyuji Kogyo, a metal houseware manufacturer based in the Tsubame area of Niigata, Japan, known for durable, professional grade kitchenware designed with feedback from working cooks.
It is made from high grade 18-8 stainless steel, which resists rust and stays easy to clean. Because the whole colander is stainless steel, boiling water can be poured directly over it without any risk of damage.
