Benkei is a line of kitchen tools made by Honma Fuyuji Kogyo, a metal housewares manufacturer in the Tsubame area of Niigata, Japan that builds commercial grade tools meant to be used for years.

This deep colander is a versatile tool for washing rice, draining vegetables, and other kitchen tasks. The rim is made from a thick stainless steel band so the wire mesh will not pull loose, and the frame is spin formed for extra strength and a longer service life. The reinforcing wire is flat so it will not dig into your hands.

Because it is made of 18-8 (18% chromium, 8% nickel) stainless steel, it can be rinsed with boiling water, resists rust, and stays easy to keep clean.

This colander is offered in five sizes: 27.5 cm, 30 cm, 33 cm, 35 cm, and 37.5 cm.
