Hounen Soba Noodle Rolling Pin (Menbo)

Brand: Hounen
Country of Origin: Japan

This is a Hounen menbo, a traditional Japanese rolling pin used to roll kneaded soba noodle dough into a thin, even sheet before the dough is folded and cut into noodles.

We offer this rolling pin in several wood types, including hiba wood, hinoki cypress, oak, and natural wood, so you can choose the weight and feel you prefer.

A range of lengths is also offered, from compact pins that are easy to handle and store to longer pins suited to rolling larger batches of dough into wide, even sheets.

We offer this rolling pin as a made in Japan tool for home cooks and noodle makers who want to make soba by hand.
