These chopsticks use a blue and white, and crimson and white, color contrast to suggest a plum blossom, a motif associated with good fortune in Japan, which also makes them a nice gift. This blue pair is the large size, measuring 23.5 cm (9.3 in); a red, 21.5 cm (8.5 in) medium size is also available.
They are dishwasher safe. Hyozaemon developed its own smooth, lacquer-polished finish to make a dishwasher-safe chopstick with a comfortable feel at the mouth. The lacquer on the tips, where the chopsticks touch food, is additive-free and contains no substances such as endocrine disruptors.
As with other Hyozaemon chopsticks, Hyozaemon offers relacquering and repair service, so the chopsticks can be used for many years.
