Hachishiro is Hyozaemon's travel version of its kezuri-bashi, hand-carved chopsticks shaped and finished to fit comfortably in the hand. This set brings together the wood shaping, lacquer finishing, and case construction used in the full-size kezuri-bashi in a compact, portable form.
The chopsticks measure 23.5 cm (9.3 in) and are made from ebony. The set also includes a chopstick case, a chopstick rest, three cleaning wipes, and a kiri wood box.
Hachishiro chopsticks have been selected as a gift from the Japanese government to visiting heads of state, including at the 2007 G8 Hokkaido Toyako Summit.
These chopsticks are not dishwasher or dryer safe.
