Hyozaemon Kumea Hexagonal Chopsticks Large 24cm

These chopsticks have a hexagonal cross-section, the same shape often used for pencils, so they sit comfortably and securely in the hand.

Kumea is still an uncommon material for chopsticks, but it has a density and weight similar to ebony or rosewood, which makes it well suited to the purpose, and its grain runs straight along the wood.

The tips are coated with natural lacquer, and Hyozaemon offers re-lacquering and repair so the chopsticks can be used for many years. This large size measures 24 cm (9.4 in); a medium size of 22 cm (8.7 in) is also available.
