Hyozaemon Kumea Hexagonal Chopsticks Medium 22cm

These chopsticks have a hexagonal cross-section, similar to a pencil, which rests comfortably in the hand. This medium size measures 22 cm (8.7 in); a 24 cm (9.4 in) large size is also offered.

The wood is Kumea, a material still uncommon for chopsticks. It has a density and weight similar to ebony and rosewood, which makes it well suited to chopstick making, and it has a straight, even grain.

As with other Hyozaemon chopsticks, the tips are coated with natural lacquer. Hyozaemon offers relacquering and repair service, so the chopsticks can be used for many years.
