This individual-size kamameshi rice pot from Ikenaga Tekko is sized for a single serving, about one go of rice, and is made of cast iron.
It can be used on a dedicated tabletop burner or a portable butane stove, though it is not compatible with induction (IH) cooktops. Cooking with cast iron like this may also add a small amount of dietary iron, a common benefit of cast iron cookware.
The pot body measures about 13 cm (5.1 in) across and 7 cm (2.8 in) tall, or about 15.5 cm (6.1 in) wide including the handles, and weighs about 1.3 kg (2.9 lb). The lid measures about 15.5 cm (6.1 in) across and 3 cm (1.2 in) tall.
