This is a Kalita coffee filter made from softwood pulp paper with a crepe (crimped) texture. The crimped surface increases the paper's surface area, which improves filtration and helps keep the extraction speed steady while brewing. Each pack contains 40 filters.
Before use, fold both the side seam and the bottom seam of the filter, since an unfolded seam can cause the paper to peel away during brewing. After brewing, avoid lifting the used filter out by its edge, as the bottom can come loose.
Available in sizes 101, 102, and 103 to match your dripper. Made in Japan.
