Kamenoko Tawashi Nishio Shoten White Sisal Hemp Scrub Brush Small

This soft tawashi scrub brush changes what a tawashi feels like. It is made with soft sisal fiber, giving it a gentle texture that almost clings to the hand as you use it.

The fiber still has enough body to lift away light oil residue, so a little scrubbing is often enough without reaching for detergent, which is both economical and kind to the environment. The firm fiber reaches into the corners of pots and pans and works best for wiping stains away rather than scraping them off.

Sisal fiber naturally resists absorbing oil and dirt, so it can be used on pans stained with curry or ketchup without taking on their color, and only a small amount of detergent is needed to finish the job. It also makes a good pre-rinse for pans with heavy oil residue, including non-stick (PTFE) pans, before the main wash.
