Kanoh Gentle Colors Kids Soup Bowl 250ml Red

This kid-sized soup bowl from Kano's Yasashii Irodori series has a resin surface finished to resemble the grain of natural wood. It measures 10 x 10 x 5.8 cm (3.9 x 3.9 x 2.3 in), sized to be held comfortably in both hands. It is light in weight and resistant to breaking, and unlike ceramic it does not get as hot to the touch.

The surface finish is applied using the Yamanaka-nuri lacquering technique traditionally practiced in the Yamanaka Onsen area of Kaga, Ishikawa Prefecture, giving the bowl a gentle, traditional Japanese look. It also drains water well and dries quickly after washing.

It works well for hot miso soup, other soups, or New Year zoni, and the bowls can be stacked on top of each other, taking up little space in the cupboard.

This one comes in a ruri blue and akane red colorway. It is made in Japan.
