Kanoh Wa no Iro Soup Bowl Jet Black

This soup bowl is made in Japan as part of the Washo no Iro series, with a resin surface finished to resemble natural wood grain. It is lighter and more resistant to chipping than ceramic, and it does not get as hot to the touch as ceramic ware can.

The bowl drains well and dries quickly after washing, and it can go in both the microwave and the dishwasher, making daily cleanup faster.

Sized to rest comfortably in both hands, it fits easily into everyday table settings, and bowls of this design can be nested together when stored, taking up less space in the cupboard.

It measures about 11 x 11 x 7 cm (4.3 x 4.3 x 2.8 in) in a Shikkoku (lacquer black) finish.
