Kanoh Yasashii Irodori Resin Bowl

These bowls from Kanoh's Yasashii Irodori series are made of PET and ABS resin finished to look and feel like the grain of natural wood. Compared to a ceramic bowl, they are lighter in weight, more resistant to chipping, and stay cooler to the touch when filled with something hot.

The surface coloring is applied using the Yamanaka lacquer technique, a traditional craft practiced in the Yamanaka Onsen area of Kaga, Ishikawa Prefecture, giving each bowl a soft, old fashioned Japanese look. The bowls also drain water well and dry quickly after washing, and their rounded shape lets them nest and stack together for compact storage in a cupboard.

They are well suited for rice, miso soup, other soups, or New Year ozoni, and are sized to rest comfortably in two hands. Made in Japan.

Choose from three bowl styles, Kids Soup Bowl, Miso Soup Bowl, or Rice Bowl, each available in seven color combinations: Blue, Blue & Red, Blue & Amber, Blue & Green, Blue & Natural, Blue & Walnut, and Blue & Lemon.
