This fukin kitchen cloth comes from Kyukyodo's Irohato line and is made from kaya fabric, a fabric carefully woven in Nara Prefecture, Japan.
The kaya fabric combines natural cotton with rayon made from wood. It feels pleasant to the touch, and five layers are joined together, so the cloth is very durable. Rayon dries quickly and absorbs water well, which makes this cloth well suited to use around the kitchen. With use, it becomes softer and more supple.
The cloth measures about 30 x 40 cm (11.8 x 15.7 in) and weighs 80 g (2.8 oz / 0.18 lb). It is made in Japan.
