This Chaki teapot from Miyazaki Seisakusho has a rounded shape and comes with a built-in strainer. It is made of 18-8 stainless steel, which resists absorbing color and odor from tea, so different kinds of Japanese tea can be brewed in the same pot without flavor carryover, and the material holds heat well.
Being stainless steel, the body is lightweight and will not break if dropped. The handle and knob are natural wood for a warm feel, and because they are natural wood their color may vary slightly from the product photos. This large size is sized for about two to three cups of tea at a time.
It should not be used directly on a flame or on an induction (IH) stove.
