Risu Pickle Tub Pressing Lid 60L

This is a pressing lid, or oshibuta, made by Risu for use inside a pickling tub. It rests directly on top of vegetables or other ingredients in the tub, spreading pressure evenly across the surface as they release liquid during pickling.

This lid is sized for a 60 L (63.4 qt) tub, measures 250 x 28 x 0.1 cm (98.4 x 11 x 0 in), and weighs 281 g (9.9 oz / 0.62 lb). It is made of plastic and manufactured in China.

Risu offers this pressing lid in sizes from 5 L (5.3 qt) up to 80 L (84.5 qt), so you can match the lid to the tub you use for pickling. A weight stone is typically placed on top of the lid to add further pressure.
