This soft spoon from Sansho is designed to be gentle in the mouth and easy to feed with. The bowl of the spoon is long and shallow, so it fits in the mouth without needing to open wide.
Because it is made of resin rather than metal, it is lighter than a stainless steel spoon and does not carry the metallic or slightly sour taste that can come from metal touching the mouth. It can be used with a wide range of foods, from rice bowls, curry, fried rice, and porridge to gratin, soup, and pudding, whether hot or cold.
The surface has a fine textured, matte finish, and the spoon is dishwasher safe. Made in Japan.
