This flower shaped, cone style coffee dripper is made by Sanyo Sangyo for its CAFEC brand, which it sells in Japan and more than 80 countries worldwide. The deep conical bed directs hot water toward the tip of the cone, helping draw out the full flavor of the coffee.
Ribs inside the dripper are molded into a flower petal pattern. This creates an air layer that gives the brew a bulge similar to the effect of a cloth filter.
The dripper is made of copolyester resin, a material also used in medical equipment. It is lightweight, easy to handle, tough, chemical resistant and heat resistant, and it will not shatter if you happen to drop it. A measuring spoon is not included.
