This is a 1 cup cone-shaped coffee dripper with a flower petal design from Sanyo Sangyo, the maker of the CAFEC brand.
The cone shape creates a deep coffee bed. When you pour hot water, it flows toward the tip of the cone and draws out the full flavor of the beans. The petal-shaped ribs inside form an air layer that lets the grounds bloom much like a cloth filter.
The dripper is made of copolyester resin, which is light, easy to handle and clear like glass. The material is tough and resistant to chemicals and heat, and it will not break if dropped. A measuring spoon is not included.
It measures 13.1 x 10.2 x 7.9 cm (5.2 x 4 x 3.1 in) and weighs 80 g (2.8 oz / 0.18 lb). Made in Japan.
